Overview
Explore Abroad offers an exciting opportunity for young women to become au pairs in China. This unique program allows participants to immerse themselves in the rich culture of one of the world’s most fascinating countries while providing childcare to local families. As an au pair, you'll live with a Chinese host family, experiencing their daily life, customs, and traditions firsthand. In exchange, you’ll provide support in caring for children, helping them with activities such as English practice, creative play, and other light household tasks. This program is designed to broaden your horizons, build lifelong memories, and create lasting cross-cultural relationships.
Requirements:

Be a female between the ages of 18 and 29.

Have completed high school or equivalent.

Be in good health, both physically and mentally.

Demonstrate a love for working with children and have some childcare experience.

Possess a valid passport and be willing to stay in China for a minimum of 6 months.

Have basic knowledge of English (teaching experience is a bonus but not required).

Be open to experiencing a new culture and learning Mandarin during your stay.

Provide a clean criminal record and references.

Life as an Au Pair in China
As an Au Pair in China, you will be living with a host family and be like a big sister to the children. You will focus especially on helping the children to improve their English as well so it is very important that you can speak English really well. You will receive a Monthly stipend in exchange for providing childcare services to the host family for up to 30 hours per week. You will also be enrolled into a Mandarin course at a local University. In your off time you will be able to travel and explore China and all it has to offer!
You will Receive
- 2000 RMB pocket money/month (provided monthly) - 3000-12000 RMB flight stipend depending on the length of stay (provided upon the completion of each program) - 8-15 hours of Mandarin classes/week - 1.5 days off each week International medical insurance ( - CareMed; covered & arranged by our partner) - Visa application & renewal fee reimbursement (provided upon Au Pair's completion of the program)
